RFMeter is designed as a field engineering tool. Drive logs and imported cell files are stored locally unless you choose to export, share, or send selected drive data to an AI provider.

2. Information RFMeter processes
Location information
With your permission, the app processes precise latitude, longitude, altitude, accuracy, speed, and heading. Location is used to place your device on maps, build drive-test trails, associate RF events with a location, calculate distance, and create exported logs.
Radio and device-network information
With the required Android permissions, RFMeter may process serving and neighboring cell information, including radio technology, signal measurements, PCI, TAC, channel, band, cell identity, operator, registration state, data state, call state, and modem timestamps. Availability varies by Android version, device, modem, SIM, and carrier.
Files and session data
If you import a cell file, the app processes its cell names, identities, coordinates, azimuths, and related fields. If logging is enabled, the app creates CSV files containing selected RF, GPS, event, and test data. These files remain under your control on the device until you delete, export, or share them.
Optional AI data and credentials
If you use Ask Your Drive or Automated Drive Report, RFMeter prepares a limited drive context that may include RF measurements, serving-cell and modem state, events, speed-test results, and sampled GPS coordinates. The app shows a confirmation before sending this context directly to the AI provider you select. Your personal AI API key is encrypted in secure platform storage backed by the Android Keystore. It is not stored in Firebase, analytics, drive logs, or exported reports.
Contact information
The website contact form submits your name, email, subject, and message to our server, which emails that enquiry to ZABTEL LLC. We use that information only to respond to your message. The form is not used for marketing lists.
3. How information is used
- To display live RF and network diagnostics.
- To render maps, imported sites, sectors, trails, and events.
- To create user-requested drive-test logs and exports.
- To calculate session summaries and best-effort engineering indicators.
- To answer user-requested drive questions and create AI-assisted PDF reports.
- To diagnose errors, maintain compatibility, and improve RFMeter.
4. Storage and sharing
RFMeter does not include a feature that uploads your drive logs or imported cell files to cloud storage. You may explicitly share exported files through Android’s sharing interface, in which case the service you select receives that file under its own terms and privacy policy. AI features are a separate, user-initiated exception: after confirmation, the app sends the displayed categories of drive context directly to the selected provider using your personal API key.
5. Third-party services
RFMeter may connect to third-party services needed to provide specific functions:
- Map and tile providers receive ordinary network request information, such as your IP address and requested map area.
- Firebase services may be used for app initialization, anonymous authentication, read-only access to configured cell-site data, and aggregate analytics. Firebase Analytics automatically records events such as first open, app sessions, app version, device/OS information, app-instance identifiers, and approximate geography derived from network information. RFMeter does not intentionally attach raw RF measurements, imported cell files, drive logs, or precise GPS coordinates to analytics events.
- Speed-test endpoints receive network requests when a speed test is run.
- Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic Claude receives the drive context and question or report instruction only when you invoke an AI feature and approve transmission. The selected provider may associate usage, retention, billing, and abuse-monitoring data with your account under its own terms and privacy policy.
- PayPal receives information only if you follow the optional support link.
Each third party handles information under its own privacy policy.
6. Permissions
Android may request precise location, coarse location, phone state, network state, and internet access. You can revoke permissions in Android Settings, but some app features will no longer work. Battery optimization settings are opened only when you select that option.
7. Retention and deletion
Local logs and imported files remain on your device until you remove them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Data sent by email, shared with another app, sent to an AI provider, or otherwise processed by a third party is subject to that recipient’s retention practices. You can delete each saved AI key in the app's AI settings.
8. Children’s privacy
RFMeter is a professional engineering utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical practices, but no device, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. Protect exported logs when they include sensitive network or location information. Protect your AI API keys, restrict their permissions where the provider supports it, monitor their usage, and revoke a key immediately if you suspect exposure.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as RFMeter changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
