Terms of Use

Effective date: July 17, 2026 · Last updated: July 17, 2026

RFMeter provides best-effort engineering information. It is not a calibrated test instrument, emergency service, or substitute for operator-approved measurement systems.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using RFMeter or this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

2. Purpose of RFMeter

RFMeter is a field utility intended to help wireless engineers observe Android-reported radio, network, location, and drive-test information. Measurements and inferred states depend on the device, Android version, modem, firmware, SIM, carrier configuration, permissions, and environment.

3. No guarantee of measurement accuracy

The app displays values supplied by Android and the device modem and may calculate or infer additional engineering indicators. Data can be stale, incomplete, delayed, unavailable, vendor-specific, or inaccurate. Labels marked “inferred” are estimates and must not be treated as modem-confirmed facts.

You are responsible for validating important findings with appropriate, calibrated, and operator-approved tools.

4. Safe and lawful use

  • Do not interact with the app while driving a vehicle.
  • Use a passenger, safe mounting system, or review data after stopping.
  • Follow traffic laws, workplace policies, spectrum rules, and local law.
  • Obtain authorization before collecting or sharing confidential network data.
  • Do not use RFMeter to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorized access to any network.

5. Permissions and device operation

You choose whether to grant requested Android permissions. Some features require precise location, phone state, or internet access. Continuous monitoring may increase battery use, data use, and device temperature. You are responsible for monitoring your device and using battery optimization settings appropriately.

6. Cell files, logs, and exported data

You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, confidentiality, and security of files you import, record, export, or share. Do not distribute operator, customer, or location information unless you have permission. Keep backups of important files; RFMeter is not a backup service.

7. Downloads and updates

Install RFMeter only from a source you trust. Android may warn about apps installed outside an app store. Future versions may change features, permissions, compatibility, or file formats. We may stop offering any version at any time.

8. Third-party services and links

Maps, Firebase, speed-test services, AI providers, PayPal, email applications, and other external services are operated by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, policies, or actions. Third-party use is subject to their terms.

9. AI features and personal API keys

AI features require your own Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic Claude API key. You are responsible for obtaining and protecting the key, complying with the provider's terms, monitoring usage, and paying all provider charges. When you approve an AI request, selected RF, event, speed-test, and sampled location data is sent directly to that provider. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and is advisory only. Validate all findings before changing a live network, escalating a fault, or making a safety, commercial, or operational decision.

10. Donations

Donations through PayPal are voluntary and do not purchase ownership, support guarantees, feature commitments, warranties, or special access. Payment processing is handled by PayPal under its own terms. Unless required by law, donations are non-refundable.

11. Intellectual property

RFMeter, its logo, website design, and original content are owned by ZABTEL LLC or used under applicable licenses. These terms do not grant permission to copy, sell, rebrand, reverse engineer, or distribute the app except where such a restriction is prohibited by law or an applicable open-source license expressly permits it.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RFMeter and the website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZABTEL LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, opportunity, network availability, or business arising from use of or inability to use RFMeter or this website.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or costs arising from your unlawful use, unsafe use, breach of these terms, or unauthorized collection or disclosure of information.

15. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or discontinue access to RFMeter or the website. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

16. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

17. Contact

Questions about these terms may be sent to help@rfmeter.com.
